Motor Vehicle License Renewal
Motor Vehicle Registration
We need the following for the registration of new vehicles, motorcycles, trailers, trucks and caravans:
- Introduction/Manufacturing Certificate
- ID Document
- Proof of Address
We need the following for the registration of used vehicles, motorcycles, trailers, trucks and caravans the following is required:
- Roadworthy Certificate
- ID Document
- Proof of Address
- Vehicle Registration Documentation
Motor Vehicle De-Registration
We need the following for de-registration of vehicles, motorcycles, trailers, trucks and caravans:
- Original Registration Form
- ID Document
- Reason for deregistration (if stolen we require the SAPS case number.)
Change of Address
If your place of residence has changes you must update your address to ensure that you receive licensing notifications. The following documents are required:

Change of Title Holder
Once you have paid off your car at the bank or other financial aid institution you can submit change of titleholder documentation to register you as the titleholder:

Change of Ownership
A change of ownership must be submitted when your vehicle is sold. It remains the duty of the seller to ensure that the change of ownership process is completed. We require the following from you:
- ID Document of the Buyer.
- ID Document of the Seller.

Trust/Non-Profit Organisation Registration
To register a vehicle in the name of a trust or non-profit organisation, we need the following:
- Proof of Address
- Letter of Appointment of the Proxy
- ID Document of the Proxy
- Letter of Authority
Company Registration
To register a vehicle to a company’s name for the first time, the company must submit the following documents:
- ID Document
- Proof of Address
- CK1 and CK2 Forms
- Letter of Appointment of Proxy
Collection of Driver's Licence Card
To collect a driver’s licence card on behalf of the driver, the following documents are required:
- Copy of ID (Front and Back of Smart ID Card)
- Copy of receipt received
- Copy of temporary drivers license (if available)
